If I have my own insurance, am I covered? What should I do in case of an accident?
As a rule, rental agencies do not interfere in clients’ insurances, other than the ones offered by the Rental agency itself. If you have your own insurance through your credit card or travel insurance which may cover you, make sure that you check all terms and conditions of the insurance and that it covers you for any car rental damage while renting a car abroad. Any collision must be reported to the rental office, even if you already have a police report. You have to pay the amount corresponding to the cost of damages to our office and having obtained the accident report and an invoice from us, you will be able to file your claim for reimbursement for any amounts covered through your card issuer or your travel insurance.
